Terms of Service

Last updated: April 26, 2026 · Effective: April 26, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the YilaCare mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Yila Technology Pte Ltd ("YilaCare", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 12 years old to use the Service. Users under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on their behalf. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. The Service

YilaCare is a healthcare platform that connects patients with licensed clinics and healthcare professionals in Singapore. The Service allows you to:

  • Discover clinics and book appointments
  • Take queue numbers remotely
  • Consult with doctors via video (telemedicine)
  • Manage healthcare for family members
  • Access digital medical records, prescriptions, and certificates
  • Make payments for healthcare services

3. Not a Substitute for Professional Medical Care

YilaCare is a technology platform. We are NOT a healthcare provider. All medical advice, diagnoses, prescriptions, and treatment decisions are made by the licensed clinics and healthcare professionals you choose to consult through the platform. The Service is not intended for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 995 (Singapore Civil Defence Force ambulance) or go to the nearest hospital emergency department immediately.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and current information during registration
  • Maintaining the security of the device used to access your account
  • All activity that occurs under your account, including activity on family member profiles you manage
  • Notifying us immediately at support@yilamed.com of any unauthorized access

You may delete your account at any time. See the dedicated Delete Account page for instructions.

5. Telemedicine Consultations

Telemedicine consultations are conducted by licensed healthcare professionals registered with the Singapore Medical Council, Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board, or other relevant regulatory bodies. By using telemedicine on YilaCare, you acknowledge that:

  • Some conditions cannot be safely diagnosed or treated remotely; the doctor may direct you to seek in-person care
  • Consultations may be recorded for clinical and audit purposes (with notice)
  • Prescriptions and medical certificates issued via telemedicine are subject to the same legal validity as in-person visits
  • You must be physically present in Singapore at the time of consultation, unless the consulting clinic states otherwise

6. Bookings, Cancellations, and Refunds

Each clinic on YilaCare sets its own appointment, cancellation, and refund policy. The applicable policy will be displayed before you confirm a booking or payment. Disputes about specific clinic policies should first be raised with the clinic directly; YilaCare may assist with mediation but is not the medical service provider.

7. Payments

Payments are processed through Stripe, PayNow, and other authorized payment providers. By making a payment, you authorize the charge and agree to the payment provider's terms. YilaCare does not store your full payment card details.

8. Family Account Management

You may add family members to your account to manage their healthcare on their behalf. By doing so, you confirm that you have legal authority (parent, legal guardian, or authorized caregiver) to act on the family member's behalf, and that they consent to your management of their data where they are capable of consenting.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including obtaining controlled drugs without medical justification
  • Provide false identity or impersonate another person
  • Misuse medical certificates obtained via telemedicine
  • Attempt to access another user's account or medical records
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service
  • Upload malicious content or use the messaging features for harassment, spam, or abuse

Violations may result in account suspension or termination, and may be reported to authorities where required by law.

10. Healthcare Professional Conduct

If you are a clinic or healthcare professional using the platform, you additionally agree to maintain valid professional licenses, comply with all Ministry of Health (MOH) and HCSA regulations, follow Singapore Medical Council ethical guidelines, and not abuse the platform's medical certificate or prescription features. YilaCare records consultation duration and other metadata for compliance purposes; abnormally short telemedicine consultations may be flagged for review.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, design, text, logos, and content (excluding user-generated content and clinic-provided content), is the property of Yila Technology Pte Ltd or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute it without our written permission.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information. We comply with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

13. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service may be unavailable during maintenance, due to technical issues, or for reasons beyond our control. We are not liable for losses arising from such unavailability.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, YilaCare disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that it will meet your specific requirements.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, YilaCare's total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid to YilaCare in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or S$200, whichever is greater. YilaCare is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be lawfully excluded, including for personal injury or death caused by negligence.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or applicable law, with notice where reasonably possible.

18. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. Where appropriate, parties are encouraged to use mediation through the Singapore Mediation Centre before resorting to litigation.
